Some really quick people doodles, couple of seconds each. My balcony overlooks a crossing :) I really liked this old guy, all bundled up despite the summer weather, carrying a really fancy bag.

I know everybody and their mother already did something like that, but I haven’t, so I gave myself permission to try. I got a free texture, cut out some bits, colorized them and voila. It’s one of the first scenes of Jeanette Winterson’s “Written on the Body”.

I am quite proud that I didn’t overlay the whole thing with a colored layer to pull the color scheme together, like I sometimes do with digital drawings. The composition isn’t perfect, but I think for a first time I did alright. I shuffled it around and tried to get more value variation.

What do you think? I think I prefer the “paler” hair…
